About
This is a collection of thoughts, observations, and attempts to make sense of the world in which I find myself.
They’re imperfect, as is the person responsible for them. Some will undoubtedly age poorly. Others may prove more durable. I expect to contradict myself, change my mind, and occasionally discover that something I once held with conviction was little more than an elaborate misunderstanding.
There’s really no particular rhyme or reason to what you’ll find here. The subjects may range from economics and history to the nature of consciousness, or something as seemingly simple, yet profoundly difficult, as the question of what it means to love. The common thread, if there is one, is simply my attempt to untangle whatever happens to be in front of me.
I make no claim to possess a comprehensive understanding of reality, much less the authority to explain it to anyone else. This is simply a space in which I’ve done my best to navigate its complexity, knowing that untangling one question often reveals several more.
What remains is not a finished account of the world, but a record of an ongoing attempt to understand it.
I hope you enjoy.
